Our mission is to worship and serve our Lord, adhering to the tenets of the reformed faith, and to care for the spiritual and physical needs of our congregation and our local and global communities.
We are a small, caring congregation, much like a family. We know that life can be difficult and that it is the call of the body of Christ to demonstrate God's love and grace in the world. To that end, we take care of each other and reach out into our community in various ways:
We are a small, caring congregation, much like a family. We know that life can be difficult and that it is the call of the body of Christ to demonstrate God's love and grace in the world. To that end, we take care of each other and reach out into our community in various ways:
- We support Food for Preston with regular donations of food and by raising funds for it through our annual Cornucopia of Thanks Concert.
- We donate funds to the Davis-Stuart Center and the Preston County Garden Project.
- We provide backpacks and tote bags with school and hygiene supplies to needy students four times each year.
- When needed, we help pay for temporary housing for families recently made homeless.
- We provide a free laundry ministry several times each school year.
- We support the weekend food backpack for homeless students.
- We donate funds to Heat for Preston.
For 25 years, we provided the Presbyterian Daycare Center for the community. We also participated in the start-ups of Hospice and Habitat for Humanity, housed an office for the Rape and Domestic Violence Center, and provided a meeting place for a 4-H group and a training place for the CASA program (Court Appointed Special Advocates).
